From the White House, through the media and down to the most misinformed white person in America, we keep hearing about Chicago's murder rate whenever a mass shooting, white supremacist killing, or terrorist hate crime is committed in America. White folks have been camouflaging their crimes and failings by comparing them against what they call "black-on-black" crime in Chicago.
According to statistics, as of Nov 1, 2017, there have been at least 391 homicides this year in Chicago, four more than last year when violence reached levels not seen in two decades, according to data kept by the Tribune. Yet, according to the CDC, so far this year there have been 15,872 homicides in the country all together; 11,008 of those deaths are by firearm. This means that America's murder rate is close to 4 times higher than Chicago's murder rate.
Black people who killed whites and whites who killed blacks - climbed to their highest levels last year since the election of President Barack Obama almost eight years ago, even as the proportion of so-called black-on-black killings dipped, according to the latest national crime figures from the FBI. The number of white people killed by other whites rose 3.5 percent to 2,574 victims in 2015. The number of blacks killed by blacks rose to 2,380 last year, an increase of about 8 percent from 2014.
Accordingly, the number of black people killed by whites - a demographic in the FBI report that includes those of Hispanic descent - surged by nearly a quarter in 2015 from the year before, as the number of whites killed by blacks jumped 12 percent. Together, such interracial killings increased about 13 percent from 2014.
Since 2001, white-on-white homicides have always been higher.
The media and politicians are exaggerating and telling bold-face lies about the problem of black-on-black crime. The statistics show that there is not much of a difference, and that white-on-white crime is even higher.
